It started with curiosity…
Kristen’s curiosity for health and wellness began when she needed more energy to get through gymnastics practice as a kid. Growing up, she was a picky eater, which made eating the right foods tough. Her interest that started in childhood led her to pursue a career in food and nutrition. She completed a bachelor’s in dietetics from Ball State University and went on to get a master’s degree in wellness and gerontology from the Fisher Institute of Health and Well-Being. Her internship introduced her to the world of intrinsic coaching and has transformed the way she communicates with clients and helps them with behavior change. Kristen has been providing nutrition counseling to individuals and families for 15 years and is a co-owner of Well Balanced Nutrition, a private practice in North Carolina. She is a lifelong learner who is always learning through continuing education courses and, of course, with the books she reads for the Health Geek Bookclub Podcast. She can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org.
